But then something began viciously clawing at my back. As I looked upon my battered foster father, I began thinking of how I can try to help him see reason. I knocked Aaron into his desk, causing everything on it to fall off. However, I negated the attack with a barrier before charging at him. ![]() He then fired an arc of lightning at me from his fingertips. Launching myself at him, I tore the book from his hands and ripped it in two.Īaron: NO! You bastardized heap of trash! I had only a moment to react before Aaron decided to attack once more. The creature then vanished from sight as time resumed. Jahaziel: Begone you disgusting abomination, leave this place! Leave me and this world! No matter what happens, I will take full responsibility for all of it. I would rebuke this horror, and I would deal with the situation myself. ![]() I knew my answer the moment I saw this atrocious thing. As if each part had its place in an intricate plan that served a larger purpose. The situation in itself was played out like a scheme of sorts. The very form of it told me that it was nothing but an utter monster. I'd have to be a fool to accept the help of this creature, and I am no fool. But if that were true, such a sickening thing would be disowned by me. It referred to me as if I were its superior, as if it were a servant to me. So for a moment I stood there, looking at the abomination before me. I couldn't believe it, and I wouldn't believe it no matter how much I would prefer an option where we could all walk away from this unscathed. But now he's seemingly fallen to madness, and conveniently this being comes to offer assistance. It was if it was too good to be true in a way.įor Aaron to take that book and throw caution out the window was strange. But something felt so wrong with this entire situation. Was my choice already made? Was it so obvious when I gazed upon this creature? Perhaps it would help me save Aaron and Hannah from whatever original fate was set for them. ![]()
